Summary: In the ALL NEW Ninth episode of 'Scent of a Girl', Bre struggles with the consequences of her decisions regarding Cally and Molly. Cally, the girl who she now knows has feelings for her and as the moments pass, the decision becomes clear to Bre as to what she now wants. Meanwhile, Shelby confronts Maxie about her actions involving Chloe and Molly and threatens to leave her best friend behind too unless Maxie agrees to her rather length list of demands. Later, Molly and Chloe settle in to watch the rain fall and soon discover something else is falling as quickly as the rain outside, them.

I hate Molly Harris, I do, why in the fuck did she have to seduce me? Now I'm left with this longing feeling that I'm missing out on something great, while this great girl (Cally) is apparently longing for me. Ok, so I understand that it was my idea to go out with Molly that night so I have no reason to complain about what happened really. But did she have to simply move on without even a clue? It was like, she fucked me and then the next thing I know she was screwing that impossibly sweet Chloe Morgan. Ok, so I've looked at her and she is hot, almost irresistable and maybe Molly had feelings for her. Which is what has kept me sane for the last few days thinking it wasn't me, it was her. I hope so, but in reality what does it matter? I'm not in her plans I know that for sure. Which why I'm on this, long way around, tour of the campus so to speak on my way to Cally's dorm. Hoping, against hope I haven't ruined what ever it is we had, or could have had.

Walking up the front walk I froze as I saw her sitting in front of the building just looking off into the ditance with some text book in her hand. Not paying any attention, I observed. I could swear her eyes were puffy from crying or so it looked and she did look like she was depressed. I thought for a moment about running and never coming back and going back to my "act" of being straight, poor and shy. But something in me made me step out from behind that bush and walk the few last feet till she spotted me and to my heart's relief and not to mention desire, she smiled. Tossing the book down in the grass and coming to meet me.

"Don't say anything" She said, "I'm gonna try and say this..."

"Ok" I said as she took a deep breath.

"I...wanna be with you" She said in a rush as I smiled. "If you'll give me...a...ummm...give me a chance."

"And who says I'd even consider it?" I asked with a smirk as she first thought I was serious and then gave me a knowing smile. "It's over with Molly, the skank moved on without even giving me a chance."

"I'll take second best" Cally said as I laughed.

"You're not second best" I said softly as I nervously, hands shaking and head almost spinning, moved closer. "Just, Molly was there first, and I didn't know you felt the way you do. So you are not my second choice."

"But if...." She started as I covered her lips with two fingers.

"I wanna be with you too and I'm not looking back and hoping Molly will realize what she missed" I said as she smiled. "That night at the mixer was magical for me too and I wanna see, a year later, what could have happened between us. So how about you do like the song says, and love the one you're with?"

"MMMMMMMM boy howdy" Cally said as I broke up laughing.

"I love your sense of humor, but sometimes you ruin a good moment" I said as Cally blushed.

"I joke when I'm nervous" She said as she touched my face and I smiled. "But I'll try to be good to you. I know I'll screw it up but, I'll sure try and make you happy."

"I know you will" I said as I grabbed her by the belt buckle and pulled her body against mind and adjusted her hand so it was now cupping my neck and said, "Yeh that's how it happened right?"

"What?"

"The night you kissed me" I said with a knowing smile.

"Yeh it was...." She said as I smiled and urged her to do it. She smiled as she leaned in and kissed me. It was just like that night a year ago. Fireworks, waves crashing, so nice and familar and to my minds alarm it made me hot as fuck as she slipped her tongue into my mouth and I met hers with mine as we started to french. The hand cupping my neck slipped into my hair as I incresed the pace of the kiss and leaned more into her as my tongue worked against hers more and more. My brain getting lost in the soothing sensations, I instictively clutched a hand at the front of her shirt and moaned into her mouth. God she was a good kisser, and it was making me fuckin hot just kissing her softly like this. "MMMMMMM..."

"Yeh, I know" Cally said as she smiled at me and in that moment I no longer cared about Molly or Chloe I only wanted this girl to kiss me again like that and this time not stop for a few long minutes or maybe an hour. "Brings back some memories."

"It sure does" I said, "That night in front of the dorm, you slipped me the tongue that night too."

"I'm sorry, your lips are so soft and I tend to just go with what feels good" Cally said, "And if you don't resist I assume it's ok."

"I was kidding" I said with a gentle smile, "I liked that. You don't have to hold back if it feels good I'll probably like it."

"I'm pretty good at making girls feel good" Cally said with a sexy as hell smile. "Want me to show you."

"None of that rough and tumble stuff?" I asked as she pooched her lip out and I laughed.

"Ok, but you will try it one night?" She asked as I kissed her again and said before running off, "Make me."

\/ {* ~ *} \/ SHELBY'S PERSPECTIVE \/ {* ~ *} \/

So, Hi, I'm Shelby Parker, Maxie Bradlidge's best friend or should I say, now Ex-best friend. I heard about her little adventure at Molly's room and her hitting Chloe again and not to mention Molly for just trying to protect Chloe. I had had enough and came home that night in a pissed as all hell mood about to whip her spoiled brat ass. But she was already passed out on the floor in a pile of puke, her eyes swollen and puffing from crying and I just had no choice but to help her into bed and once again put aside my rage and tend to my friend. Cause no one else will, their all sick to death of the drama and glad to have Chloe gone, so Max will stop her bullshit. Not that, Cindy, Mindy or Dakota blame Chloe, but they see both sides and regardless of what you think it wasn't so cut and dry. See, Chloe is a sweet and innocent on the outside, but she's also a borderline genuis, and a black belt in Karate. That's the part that puzzles me about her, she let Maxie beat on her without trying to defend herself even once, even though she could. I just don't understand that at all. I guess she was terrified of hurting Maxie and then she really would be without a girlfriend and Chloe could never live without a girlfriend.

"You can't fuckin leave" Maxie said in a rage as I dared her to hit me.

"Try and stop me" I said as I stood in her face. "You hit me Max and I'll kick your ass all over this room, I'm not Chloe. She should have beat your ass like a red headed stepchild a long time ago."

"You know she could" Maxie said, "She's just a big pussy."

"That don't give you any right to fuckin beat on her" I said as I lost my temper and pushed her. "She was scared you'd leave, you bitch. You know she's on anti-depressants."

"Fuck you" She spat as I lunged for her and crashed on to an empty bed.

"I tell you this, I stopped myself from interferring in your relationship a hundred times before" I said as I stood and backed her down. "But I'm leaving, so I don't beat the living hell out of you. Take this warning as serious, Max, you go near her again or Molly and I'm the one who's gonna hurt you and I mean hurt you."

"You're my best friend" She said in tears that this time fell on a black heart. "I don't have anyone without you."

"Here" I said handing her a matchbook, "read the back."

"Cummunity counseling?" She asked.

"Get some help" I said as I tried to bite my tongue to not say anything more. "You're gonna end up dead Max, and I can't stop you again."

"I'm scared to death, will you go with me, please?" She begged as she took my hand, "Please Shelby, I don't have anyone else."

"If you make an effort to get help, and not two days and quit" I said, "We can go."

"I'll call" She said as she took my hand and dragged me almost unwillingly to the phone across the room. Dialing the number and waited for an answer. "My names Maxine Bradlidge, I'm a student, I need to schedule an appointment. Ok."

"You are one big pain in the ass" I said as she smiled for a moment and I knew now that I was stuck for at least a few more days in the room with her.

"Yes, Ma'am" She said into the phone. "As soon as possible, please?"

"Ok, 4 o'clock tommorrow?" She asked after a long pause. "I'll be there. Thank you."

"If you don't make a real effort..." I said and pausing to bite my tongue and choose my words very carefully. "I won't help you again."

"You have the prettiest eyes in the world, Shel" Maxie said as I gave her a strange look.

"Huh? Are you hitting on me?" I asked as Maxie shrugged and gave me that sexy 'unsure' smile that always made me wanna tackle her. Not that I really wanted to, we've been friends for a year and half now and nothing beyond friendship has ever developed. She was just too screwed up for me and besides her and Chloe had been an item for as long as I can remember.

"No" She said as she leaned forward and to my shock, she kissed me. A soft and inviting kiss. Not like Maxie's usual 'suck the spit out' kiss, but one that felt nice. I pushed her away as she laughed and had to have seen the shock I was in.

"If you think you're getting laid you're fuckin crazy" I said as she fell against the wall laughing.

"Not looking to" She said simply. "I said you had great eyes, Shel, and I meant that. I've always had a crush on you."

"Ok, look..." I said in anger as she pulled me to her and kissed me again, softly on the lips and slowly kissed me. Moving her lips against mine gently as her hands cupped around the back of my neck and she seemed to be learning a new method of kissing and I had to admit it was very nice. She never even slipped me the tongue as I let myself be drawn into her for a long moment. Before we fell against the wall and parted as we broke up laughing. "...stop kissing me like that, I'm trying to be mad at you."

"I did good?" She asked with a hopeful smile.

"Yes, Max, it was nice, were did you learn that?" I asked.

"Molly" She said simply, "I just never got to try it with Chloe."

"So you wanted to kiss me so you could try it?" I asked.

"No, I told you, I've always had a crush on you" Maxie said. "I know it wasn't very good, but I was at least trying."

"Actually, it was" I said, "You let me kiss you back, before you seemed like you had to all the work."

"So....couseling, tommorrow with Dr. Blackwell" Maxie said with a scared to death look in her eyes. "You, please go with me?"

"Yeh, I will Max" I said as I hugged her, "And I have some conditions on me staying."

"You're staying?" She asked as I tried to hide a smile and she kissed me again in the usual Maxie style as I pushed her away and said, "Yes, and that was your usual style. Take your time and kiss me like you did the first time. I liked that."

"I did too, but I figured you'd smack me for kissing you" She said.

"I liked it ok" I said, "Now listen and I'm not kidding and I will be gone if you screw me on this."

"Ok, couseling, gotcha" She said.

"No that's part one" I said, "No more drinking, none. No more pills, and no more of that god awful pot."

"What will I do for fun?" She asked in confusion.

"How about me?" I asked with a knowing smile as she put a hand on one my breast and I willing let her. "I guarantee you this, I'll make you feel a lot better than those will."

"Damn girl" Maxie said as I kissed her and made her kiss me slowly. "MMMMMMMM, you're already changng me."

\/ {* ~ *} \/ MOLLY'S PERSPECTIVE \/ {* ~ *} \/

I went down to check my mailbox and I guess I got lost in thought about Chloe as I stood by the main door and stared outside and thought about all the great things that had happened the last several days. Chloe had been even more loving and attentive since our date and lord that girl can make me fuckin hot as East Texas in mid-July. What a kisser and so sexy, she keeps me horny 24/7. Not that I've tried to lay her yet though, we are moving towards it, I think and she's asked me about it a time or two but I wanted to let her get over this whole thing with Max before we tried to start something as serious as that. Because as much as I tried to convince myself otherwise, I'm falling in love with her. Fast too, she's so impossibly sweet and it's like Christmas with her every day. I'm always finding new things to love about her, and knew things to help her with. She does the same for me, always waits for me outside the shower with a towel and dries my hair. God she's good to me. Some people would say she was smothering me, but I like it. She needs me and that's all I need to know. Still no Bre, she's not talked to me in 4 days and I'm pretty sure she hates me now.

Watching it begin to rain, I thought how much Chloe loves to watch it rain and headed back to the room to get her. Getting back on my floor, I slowed as I got to my room and noticed Chloe with my headphones on and listening to my boombox. Bobbing her head up and down to the beat. Slipping up behind her, I felt her stomach tense in surprise as I touched it and slid one of the ear pieces off and said in a sexy voice, "Rolling....thunder?"

"MMMMMMM yes, please" She said as she took the head phones off and laid them aside as I sat down across her thighs on the chair. "When are you seriously gonna do that for me?"

"When I'm sure you're ready" I said as I caressed her cheek and heard her purr like a kitten. Giggling and smiling I kissed her softly, "Just wanna make sure you're ok with everything."

"I am, I haven't even needed my meds" She said as I looked at her in confusion.

"It's anti-depressants" She said softly. "I needed them when I was with Maxie. I don't now."

"Are you sure?" I asked and had to admit that she did seem to be a lot more calm the last several days.

"Yes, I'm positive" She said, "I still have them, if I need them, I promise you I'll take them."

"Unlike some people, I trust you" I said as I kissed her softly. "Wanna go watch it rain?"

"Will you hold me?" She asked as I slipped off her thinghs and said as I pulled her to her feet, "Maybe."

"Oh, come on please?" She asked with a pooched lip look as I shrugged and played it cool as we headed out my door and I grabbed a blanket off the chair by my door, Chloe then pulling it closed. Down the main staircase and into the, by now deserted main hall. We took the sofa by the front window, where you can see the sky through the tilted windows in the top. I sat down and pulled a giggling Chloe down in front of me, between my thighs as she covered us in the blanket and leaned back into my arms. I hugged her as she happily laid her head on my shoulder and we watched silently as the rain poured down. A half hour or so passed and neither of us spoke a word as she laid in my arms and never moved it seemed. I honestly don't think it can any better than this in life. I'm so into this girl, I swear I think I'm already in love with her. But to actually say that, well it's a big commitment that I'm not sure I'm ready to make. And it's weird, I do things that are no not normal for me, but they turn out to make such perfect sense later. Like, in this case, we were already close, so I gently pressed my nose to her skin, just behind her ear and took in her scent. God she even smells sweet. She giggled and squirmed and asked in a sweet voice, "What was that?"

"Scent of a girl" I said as I did it again and felt sigh contently as she tilted her head just a bit and let me take in her scent. "MMMMMMM."

"No one's ever did that to me before" She said.

"Weird?" I asked as she smiled and shook her head no.

"You know why no one's ever did that?"

"Why?"

"Cause no one's ever held you like this" I said as she closed her eyes and touched her heart. "They never took the time to let you touch their heart."

"Max..." She started to say before I covered her lips with two fingers and pressed my nose back to her neck and took in her scent again, it's addictive.

"I don't wanna hear that name" I said as she looked at me in confusion, "Say my name."

"Molly?" She asked as I smiled and she did a moment later. "Molly. Molly Harris."

"There you go, that's better" I said as she giggled, "I love hearing my name on your lips."

"Get used to it" She said as she grinned. "You're gonna be hearing that a lot."

"MMMMMMMMMM" I sighed contently as I pressed my nose to her neck and took in her scent one more time. Thinking in that moment how incredibly lucky I was to have found such an unbelievably sweet, caring girl and have her literally feel the same way I do. Talk about being glad that I screwed my hole life up with that retarded blackmailing of Holly.

"You keep doing that, there must be something to it" She said as I shrugged and she laid her head back and did me the same way in almost the same spot as I tilted my head back for her. Unusual feeling but to see her smile when she met my eyes again, really was priceless.

"Scent of a girl?" She asked softly. "Is that what that is?"

"Yeh, you like?"

"Mmmmm-hmmmm" She said as I let her do it again for a long moment. "I think you gotta be really into someone to understand why that is sooo addictive."

"You're reading my mind" I said as she laughed. "I was just thinking that."

"This is simple. I love this" She said softly.

"Yeh it is" I said as she kissed my cheek and smiled at me and in that moment my heart seemed to be sending signals to my mouth and trying to get me to say something that I was feeling but was scared to say. For several reasons, one, if I said those 'three little words' it meant I was over Megan and I was no longer her 'babygirl' which I loved being. Two, it meant it I trusted this girl with my heart, something I still regret trusting Megan with. Funny thing is, that made my decision so much easier. Because I did, trust Chloe with my heart and my life for that matter. There's no way she could be acting, and no chance she doesn't feel the same way. So I took the plunge, "I think I'm in love with you."

"Yeh?" She asked simply as she touched her lips and seemed to be on the verge of crying as I couldn't help but smile and noticed she seemed to be completely floored by my words. Her voice dropped to one that I knew was only intended for my ears as she said, "Me too. I love you Molly."

"You wanna repeat that?" I asked as she giggled.

"I said...I love you too" She repeated.

"How long have you known?"

"I've known since I met you" She said, "I knew I'd end up with you."

"God you are so impossibly sweet" I said as I felt my heart beat faster as I wrapped her tighter in my arms and laid my cheek against hers and seriously heard my heart say what it wanted to in that moment. "I love you too. You're my girl now, no one will ever hurt you again, I promise you."

"Repeat that one more time?" She asked as she sat up and turned around over my thighs. "Please?"

"I said, I love you" I repeated, "And you're my girl now and no one will ever hurt you again."

"I know that, I'm just...happy" She said with a smile. "First time in a long time."

"Yeh me too" I said as she looked back out at the rain as it slowed a little and we even saw a hint of sunshine for a moment. She turned back around and sunk back into my arms and let me hold her again.

"In your arms..." She said as she closed her eyes and laid her head on my shoulder and I rested mine against hers, "...is my favorite place in the world."

"You know what?" I asked.

"Hmmmm?" She asked without even moving.

"Get used to it" I said as she wrapped my arms tighter around her. "Cause I love holdin you like this."

"I feel that, everytime you hold me" She said. "You're gonna spoil me."

"So?" I asked as I kissed her forehead softly. "You deserve it after all you've been through."

"So do you I bet" She said, "Something happened to you didn't it? That's why you're here."

"Yeh it did" I said, "Can I tell you about it some other time? I don't wanna ruin this."

"Whenever you want" She said. "Remember, I'm your girl now, right?"

"Yeh, you better me" I said as we giggled.

"I just mean..." She said slowly, "...that when you hurt, I do too."

"Yeh..." I said with a nod of my head and a smile, "...I'm in love."
